Faq's Elite City Models Teens Division!

Please read all of this page as most of your questions will be answered.

Q: When my teen joins the Teen Division can you guarantee them work?
A: No Model Agency can guarantee you work. Once your teen's portfolio is circulating it is ultimately up to the clients who they choose for each job. What we do guarantee is the fact that we only take onto our books teenagers we feel we will be able to place in jobs. It would be totally non productive and time wasting for us to fill our books with models who have no chance of working.

Q: Who do you accept onto your books?
A: Teens between 13 and 17 years who we believe stand a chance of working as models.

Q: How many jobs can they expect in a year?
A: How long is a piece of string? Some models "hit it off" quicker than others and seem to secure every job for which they are auditioned, others sadly never really take off and get only the occasional job whereas there are those that never get a job. There is no knowing how successful any model will be until their face is out there and being viewed by clients.

Q: How will I know when a client wants to book them?
A: We will contact you by telephone to provide you with the details of your booking if it is confirmed. You will receive an email when a client requests further details from your portfolio.

Q: Is there a fee to be represented by your agency?
A: No. We do not charge fees for representation. We earn 30% agency commission on work models perform through our agency.

Q: Do you charge an assessment or interview fee?
A: No. We do not charge a fee for assessments, interviews or consultations.

Q: Do you charge for creating a portfolio?
A: No. Definitely not. We do not charge for the portfolio shoot we provide for models we accept now, or in the future.

Q: Are there any fees?
A: We do provide training and ongoing advice which we offer to all our successful applicants. We charge £70 per quarter to those that wish to take up the offer of training. It is not a compulsory part of being a model!

Q: What is the training?
A: This entails a shoot 4 times a year each with a different top photographer together with other teen models. A make up artist and stylist will be there plus an art director. This will allow our 'new' models to experience how to behave in a studio situation with other professionals with advice and assistance. The experience gained is invaluable for when they are 18 and old enough to work in the industry.

Q: Why do you charge quarterly?
A: In our experience some children like the idea of modelling, but when they realise it is quite hard work cool to the idea and leave the agency. In this case you have only paid for the one training session they have been on and there is no pressure to pay for more.

Q: My teen doesn't need to learn how to model they are very experienced!
A: Every child is the apple of their parents eye. If your child is really that experienced we must assume they are already represented by an agency.

Q: Who will take the photographs for my child's folio?
A:
Our in house photographer is CRB checked although all teens must have a parent with them at all times.

Q: Can we have pictures from the Portfolio shoot?
A: The shoot is at the agency's expense and for us to promote your child to clients. The pictures are not for sharing as they would probably end up on other agencies sites. We are happy to provide pictures from the shoot with the agency logo on to go on facebook, bebo, etc. We are happy to provide prints from the shoot if requested for a reasonable fee. Not £100 each :)

Q: Are there laws surrounding teens modelling?
A: There certainly are and if your teen is of legal school age will need a special licence from your local LET. We are experienced in this and provide all the paperwork you need.

Q: Are there fees surrounding the licence?
A: We charge a £20 administration fee that we take from the job fee so it is only charged if your teen has done a paid job.

Q: I know that teens need to be chaperoned at all times what would happen if I cannot make it to a job with them?
A:
We have models on our staff that are also registered chaperones we would make them available.
